In continuing with the pursuit and commitment to make a lasting impact on the lives of the economically weaker sections of the society SPARSH Foundation, the charitable wing of SPARSH Hospital, announces SPARSH Vachana, the annual initiative wherein 200 free surgeries will be conducted for the underprivileged children. The social initiative, which currently has a primary focus across Karnataka, will be extended nationwide as well for crucial cases. The program aims to complete all the surgeries by the end of this year.
Launched in the year 2007, SPARSH Vachana to date has performed 1500+ surgeries for children, primarily focusing on the Orthopaedic specialty. The program is expanding its horizons this year by offering a broader spectrum of medical specialties including Cardiac, Neuroscience, and Gastrointestinal procedures for the children.
Under this program, the SPARSH Foundation will provide all the necessary infrastructure and logistics, including operation theatres and wards. A dedicated team comprising operating surgeons, theatre staff, nursing staff, paramedical staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and dieticians, all operating under the umbrella of SPARSH Hospital, offer their services free of cost. That will also include comprehensive post-operative care for as long as required.
