In addition to Chanchal Kumar’s appointment, other noteworthy changes have been made. Abhishek Singh, who currently serves as the Director General of the National Informatics Centre, has been appointed as the Director General of the National Testing Agency. This organization is tasked with conducting various entrance examinations across the country, underscoring the importance of Singh’s new role in managing education assessments.

Rohit Kansal, an IAS officer from the Union Territories cadre, has been named the Special Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development. This position plays a crucial role in formulating and implementing policies that aim to improve rural living standards and develop infrastructure in underprivileged areas. Meanwhile, Vikram Yadav has taken over as the Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation within the Ministry of Civil Aviation, a position vital for overseeing aviation regulations and safety in India.

Current I&B Secretary Reassigned

The incumbent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been reassigned to serve as the Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region. This transition is expected to bring new insights and leadership to the development initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic conditions in the northeastern part of India.

Such changes are common, aimed at refreshing leadership dynamics and ensuring that governmental practices are responsive to current challenges and requirements.
