A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Inspector, Deepak Phalswal, who was detained on March 10, 2026, in connection with a bribery case amounting to Rs 2 crore, has submitted a bail application to a Delhi court. Following his two-day police custody, he was presented before Special Judge Jyoti Kler at Rouse Avenue Courts on March 13, 2026. During the court proceedings, Phalswal’s legal representatives filed for bail while the CBI sought to extend his judicial custody. This led to the registration of a case and the subsequent arrest of Inspector Phalswal.
