Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3 Achieves Over Rs 50 Crore in Advance Bookings

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has reportedly surpassed Rs 50 crore in advance bookings within the domestic market, with the film’s first show set to begin soon. The current pre-sales figures suggest a strong trajectory towards an opening weekend exceeding Rs 50 crore, placing it among the largest Hindi film debuts anticipated for 2026. This release is viewed as a significant milestone for the franchise, potentially marking the second-largest opening for a Hindi film this year, following Dhurandhar 2.

As indicated by trade platform Sacnilk, advance bookings for Drishyam 3: The Conclusion reached Rs 51.44 crore on October 1, 2026, averaged over six show dates. Of this amount, Rs 41.17 crore was recorded from regular ticket sales, excluding block seats. On the film’s opening day, Friday, October 2, it is expected to generate Rs 28.11 crore, signifying a promising start.

By 10 am on the opening day, the film had already accumulated Rs 19.75 crore in advance sales, selling over 5.35 lakh tickets across more than 12,000 shows. For the extended three-day weekend, the total gross is projected to be around Rs 36.25 crore when including block seat sales, based on data from Sacnilk.

Regional Performance and Ticket Sales

The regional breakdown highlights Maharashtra as the leading state in ticket sales for Day 1, contributing Rs 8.58 crore, which accounts for approximately 31 per cent of the overall gross. Delhi follows with Rs 6.10 crore in sales, and Gujarat brings in Rs 2.08 crore. Collectively, the top ten states are contributing around 88 per cent of the film’s total gross.

In terms of city performance, the National Capital Region (NCR) is the highest grossing area for the opening day, bringing in Rs 6.10 crore, or 22 per cent of the total. Mumbai and Pune follow closely, contributing Rs 5.07 crore and Rs 2.14 crore, respectively. Similar to the state figures, the top ten cities are responsible for about 66 per cent of the gross takings for the day.

The overall occupancy rates indicate a significant demand for seats, particularly for evening shows, which are filling at a rate of 26 per cent across 2,920 screenings. Night shows have seen slower uptake at 20 per cent occupancy across 4,871 screenings. Out of the 14,734 shows on offer for the opening day, 34 have sold out completely, and 184 shows are nearing full capacity.

Overview of Show Formats and Global Sales

Analysis of ticket sales reveals that Hindi 2D format is dominating the business, accounting for 99 per cent of the gross on the opening day, which totals Rs 27.79 crore from 14,667 shows. Alternative premium formats, including IMAX, 4DX, and Dolby, are contributing to a minor 1 per cent of the day’s gross.

Across all six days that have gone on sale, Drishyam 3 has sold a remarkable 15.38 lakh tickets across 44,615 screenings. Notably, opening day ticket sales constitute about 55 per cent of the total advance bookings thus far. Meanwhile, the film’s international pre-sales have also demonstrated strong performance, reportedly crossing Rs 3 crore for its opening day abroad, with overall overseas weekend advance sales exceeding Rs 5 crore.

This growing demand positions the worldwide pre-sales to approach Rs 50 crore in total prior to the film’s official release. Starring Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, the cast includes Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Mrunal Jadhav, with direction by Abhishek Pathak.
