A gallery named after Adani Group’s renewable energy solutions providing company Adani Green Energy Limited was inaugurated at London’s Science Museum on Tuesday. Founded in 1857, the Science Museum is one of London’s major tourist attractions.
The new gallery which has been named ‘Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery’ explores global energy revolution and transformative technology, how the world can generate and use sustainable energy, which will contribute in the battle against the ill effects of climate change.

Features

The gallery shows how the past, present and future are shaped by human imagination and innovation and explores how we all have a role to play in deciding our energy future. In ‘Future Planet’, visitors can explore how scientists use complex computer-based models to understand our planet, and what these tell us about the range of climate futures that might lie ahead. At the centre of the gallery is ‘Only Breath’, a moving sculpture that signifies the power of nature to inspire technological change.

Gautam Adani says

“Today is a red-letter day that marks the opening of The Adani Green Energy Gallery at the @sciencemuseum in London. We are proud of the partnership with the Science Museum, led by Sir Timothy Laurence and Sir Ian Blatchford, that made this stunning gallery a reality. This gallery will serve as a pivotal public space in the understanding of sustainability, transformative technology and climate science. #SustainableFuture,” Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani posted on X. He also shared pictures of the newly inaugurated gallery.

Speaking at the inauguration event, Gautam Adani said, “This new gallery is about more than just clean air – or about moving away from oil and gas. It is about the energy transition we need – this world needs – and it is about the revolution that is taking place in the world of energy. We are the bridge connecting the past with the future – we are the bridge between generations. It is our duty to take care of our planet, not only for this generation and the next, but also for generations to come – and I am proud that Adani Green Energy is leading an energy transition that honours this commitment.”
The gallery was planned in 2021, which Gautam Adani had mentioned in a tweet posted in October that year. “We are delighted to support Energy Revolution: The Adani Green Energy Gallery at the @sciencemuseum in London. The new gallery will explore how we can power the future through low carbon technologies. It will be a reminder of the power of the sun and the wind in our daily lives,” the group Chairman had announced back then.
Adani Green solar renewable energy park

Renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat

In February this year, Adani Green Energy Limited announced that it has started power generation at its renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat. The company announced that it has operationalised the first 551 MW solar capacity at the plant and started supplying to the national grid.
Adani Green plans to develop a 30 GW renewable energy capacity at its Renewable Energy park, which is expected to be operationalised in the next five years. Upon completion, the Khavda Renewable Energy park will be the largest renewable energy installation in the world, as per an announcement made by the company. Once the plant is fully operational, it is expected to generate 81 billion units of clean electricity.
