The All Indian Human Development Council (AIHDC) and Divisional Child Welfare Council, Gurugram, successfully organized the KHEL UTSAV Interschool Sports Meet for the academic year 2024-25, sponsored by Centrient Pharmaceuticals. The event, which was hosted by Maanas Shiksha school, took place on December 21, 2024, at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. With a legacy of fostering young talent and promoting holistic education, this year’s KHEL UTSAV proved to be a remarkable showcase of sportsmanship and cultural engagement. AIHDC is a charitable trust based in Gurgaon.
The event was inaugurated by Mr Giriraj Yadav, Additional Director Sports Division Gurgaon, Arjun and Bheem awardee, who addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of sports in building character and discipline. It concluded with a prestigious award ceremony led by Mr Hitesh Kumar (IAS),  ADC Gurugram, who commended the students for their efforts and achievements. It featured a diverse array of athletic competitions, cultural performances, and an award ceremony to celebrate the achievements of budding athletes.
Speaking about the event, Mr. Devvesh P Srivastav, Country President , Global HR Director & Regional HR Head from Centrient Pharmaceuticals stated, “We are delighted to partner with AIHDC and Divisional Child Welfare Council for the KHEL UTSAV Interschool Sports Meet. Building on the resounding success of last year’s event, which saw over 500 students from 31 schools participating, KHEL UTSAV 2024-25 raised the bar even higher. This year, the event saw the participation of over 600 students from 35 schools including Maanas Shiksha, Vidya School, Lotus Petal Foundation, Sanskriti Model  School, Govt Girls Senior Sec School Jacobpura, among others.
In addition to the sports competitions, the event included captivating cultural performances by students from Maanas Shiksha, an English-medium institute in Gurugram dedicated to providing free holistic education to underprivileged children up to Grade 5. Maanas Shiksha’s commitment to nurturing talent in academic and non-academic spheres aligned seamlessly with the vision of KHEL UTSAV.
Last year’s KHEL UTSAV was inaugurated by Shri Giriraj Yadav, Deputy Director of the Gurugram Sports Range, and concluded with an award ceremony led by Shri Hitesh Kumar, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner. The event featured a vibrant mix of sports and cultural activities, underscoring the importance of a balanced approach to education.
