The BookMyShow office reverberated with the resounding drumming of djembes and the sheer joy that lit up the faces of young beneficiaries from tribal communities at the Drum Circle hosted yesterday.
In the run-up to ‘World Music Day’, BookASmile, the charity initiative of India’s leading entertainment destination, BookMyShow partnered with Dhunn, The Drum Circle and Snehavardhini Social Trustto host a special Drum Circle for the tribal youth community from the town of Roha (Raigad district) in Maharashtra and spread smiles through the magic of music. Employees of BookMyShow joined the beneficiaries in an evening of revelry and dancing to the beats of their music, in what was a heart-warming and fun evening held at BookMyShow House, Mumbai.
This initiative is an extension of BookASmile’s core belief in fostering overall personality development that goes beyond textbook and classroom education by taking entertainment experiences across music, cinema, theatre, sports and art to less fortunate communities. Through the Drum Circle, BookASmile created a circle of inclusion, togetherness, rhythm and sync; messages that were infused through music that breaks all boundaries.
