ITM Institute of Hotel Management hosts 450 underprivileged kids on this International Chef’s Day
ITM Institute of Hotel Management at both their campus i.e. Navi Mumbai and Mumbai campus celebrated International Chef’s Day and World Food Day by preparing and serving food along with acclaimed Chefs from the Industry to the children from Premdan orphanage, Kharghar, St. Catherine Orphan Home, Spark-A-Change Foundation, and Schools on Wheels, Mumbai.
The students of ITM IHM along with their Faculty Chefs and Industry chefs prepared a wholesome meal for more than 450+ children. The raw materials for the preparation were provided by ITM IHM and Industry sponsorship from Vezlay Soya Chops, Veeba (Cake Mix) and Storia (Milk Based Drink).
Speaking on this occasion Ujwala Sonawane Associate Dean said, “I am extremely proud of our students at ITM, for showing their eagerness in preparing the meal and being a part of this noble initiative. At ITM we teach the students the Joy of Giving and create holistic development amongst students.
International Chef’s Day is celebrated each year on 20th October. This day is focused on educating kids around the world about the importance of eating healthy, promote the career of chefs and help change their local communities.
