“Act of War”: Flynn Raises Alarm Over Alleged China Missiles Routed Through Pakistan In Iran Strike

The CSR Journal Magazine

Former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn has expressed doubts regarding Pakistan’s suitability as a mediator in peace discussions between the United States and Iran. This statement follows allegations that Pakistan provided missiles, purportedly sourced from China, to Iran for targeting a US aircraft carrier. Flynn’s comments were made in response to a social media commentary discussing these claims.

On social media platform X, Flynn emphasised the seriousness of the allegations, stating that if the report is accurate, it constitutes an “act of war.” He called for immediate measures against both China and Pakistan, including restrictions on Chinese students in US educational institutions.

Flynn also questioned the legitimacy of Pakistan’s role in any potential ceasefire negotiations, suggesting that the country lacks the credibility required to act as an honest broker in the ongoing conflict between the US and Iran.

US Military Think Tank Highlights Chinese Support to Iran

Recent reports from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) have indicated that China is allegedly providing military support to Iran, aimed at restoring its missile capabilities. This assistance is seen as part of broader efforts to counter US and Israeli initiatives aimed at weakening Iran’s military infrastructure.

According to the ISW, China has reportedly dispatched several shipments of missile fuel precursors to Iran since the onset of hostilities. The organisation warned that such actions could threaten the ongoing global effort to limit Iran’s ballistic missile programme.

Flynn emphasised the imperative for the US to maintain focus on homeland security, highlighting the potential threats posed by Iran and other nations. He urged federal law enforcement agencies to remain vigilant against foreign threats and ensure public safety.

Iran’s Military Developments and Recent Attacks

Iran’s military capabilities have been under scrutiny, particularly following claims from the Iranian government that it targeted the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier with coastal cruise missiles. This assertion was corroborated by state-run media, which released footage of the missile launches.

Reports suggest that Iranian military forces have been actively working to rebuild their missile systems in response to previous airstrikes by US and Israeli forces. Intelligence assessments indicate that Iran is attempting to restore operational capacity swiftly, with some missile locations being back in service shortly after strikes.

Despite efforts to enhance their missile capabilities, challenges remain within Iran’s military structure. Reports of fear and coordination issues suggest that while some systems may be available, their operational effectiveness is subpar. The ongoing geopolitical complexity makes it crucial for all parties to clearly understand their positions as negotiations proceed.
