The CSR Journal Magazine

The Vivo T5 Pro 5G is poised to be launched in India on April 15, expanding Vivo’s T-series smartphone range. This announcement was made via the company’s official account on X. The upcoming model is expected to incorporate significant improvements and will replace the Vivo T4 Pro, which was introduced in the previous year.

This smartphone will feature a notably large battery and is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon chipset. Vivo has initiated promotional activities online, including an updated microsite on Flipkart that reveals essential specifications and design features as the launch date draws near.

Battery and Display Improvements

One of the standout features of the Vivo T5 Pro 5G is its impressive 9,020mAh battery, marking a substantial enhancement from the previous 6,500mAh battery found in the Vivo T4 Pro. Additionally, it is anticipated that this model will support 90W fast charging capabilities, thereby enabling quicker recharges for users.

Tipster Yogesh Brar has suggested that the Vivo T5 Pro 5G may come equipped with a 1.5K AMOLED display featuring a 144Hz refresh rate. This represents a notable upgrade over the Vivo T4 Pro’s full-HD+ display and its 120Hz refresh rate, indicating a focus on delivering a superior visual experience to consumers.

The device is expected to be driven by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. Furthermore, it will reportedly run on Android 16 along with OriginOS 6, promising users a smooth and contemporary operating experience.

Key Features and Pricing Information

In terms of durability, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G may come with IP68+ and IP69+ ratings, ensuring enhanced protection against dust and water exposure. This feature is part of Vivo’s effort to meet consumer demands for robust devices that withstand various environmental conditions.

The anticipated pricing for the base variant, which includes 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, is expected to be around Rs 29,999. For reference, the Vivo T4 Pro was launched at a price of Rs 27,999 in India, indicating a modest increase in cost for the enhanced specifications of the new model.

Additionally, the Vivo T4 Pro featured a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and was equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. This previous model offered up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, running on Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15, and was expected to receive four major Android updates.

For photography enthusiasts, the Vivo T4 Pro included a triple rear camera configuration consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and an auxiliary sensor. The front-facing camera was a 32MP setup capable of shooting 4K video, catering to users interested in high-quality image capture.
