Zerodha’s Nithin Kamath warns about new scam which can drain your bank account
Nithin Kamath, the CEO and Co-founder of Zerodha, recently alerted social media users about a new scam that is draining people’s bank accounts. He posted a video on social media of Zerodha discussing the scam and cautioning users that it could deplete their bank accounts.
“Imagine this: A stranger approaches you and asks to use your phone to make an emergency call. Most well-meaning people would probably hand over their phone. But this is a new scam,” the billionaire warned. “From intercepting your OTPs to draining your bank accounts, scammers can cause serious damage without you even realising it,” he added. Kamath’s post was made on social media platform X, which has been getting a lot of attention from netizens.
