Legendary WWE star Hulk Hogan, 71, died a week ago, and now shocking details of his deteriorating health condition have been revealed. According to reports, he had been battling cancer for a long time and was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (CLL)—a type of cancer that affects white blood cells.

The Mayo Clinic states that CLL is a slow-progressing form of leukaemia that typically affects older adults. It’s unclear when Hulk was diagnosed, as the illness was only disclosed after his death. The autopsy report also revealed a history of atrial fibrillation.
Documents from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Centre confirmed that Hogan died due to acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack.

Hogan’s death was not directly caused by cancer but by a combination of chronic health issues. He underwent neck surgery in May, and a source close to him revealed that he had been “in and out of the hospital for years.” The source added, “Wrestling did a lot of damage to him. His body was beaten up almost everywhere. While wrestling may be staged, the physical toll is very real. He paid the price for his success.”
