At the third edition of The CSR Journal Excellence Awards at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, Union Cabinet Minister of Food Processing, Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal was Chief Guest. She addressed the potential which CSR in India has, following its mandate in the Companies Act, 2013, to harness its superpower status amongst the major economies in the world.
She brought notice to other sectors, apart from traditional sectors of CSR investment in India, to achieve the $5 trillion economic mark by bridging regional disparities and focusing on empowering women.
