A peculiar incident in Banda district, Uttar Pradesh, has drawn attention as a man reportedly eloped with a married woman for the second time within a week. The matter escalated when the woman’s husband intervened and allegedly faced threats to his life. The husband filed a complaint on March 24, detailing the events that unfolded involving Jiledar Khan and his wife.

Initial Abduction Raises Concerns

According to the husband’s account, Khan visited their home on March 24 and convinced his wife to leave with him under the guise of marriage. When the husband attempted to stop them, Khan is said to have verbally abused him and issued threats. This incident comes after a similar occurrence just a week earlier, where the woman went missing. The husband had reported her disappearance, prompting police action that led to her being returned home on March 23.

Subsequent Elopement and Missing Valuables

Despite being brought back, the woman’s stay with her husband lasted less than a day, as she once again eloped with Khan on March 24. The husband stated in his second complaint that the woman took a substantial amount of cash and jewelry from their home before leaving. This raised the alarm about potential theft accompanied by the alleged elopement.

Police Investigations and Legal Action

A senior police official has confirmed that a formal case has been initiated against Jiledar Khan based on the written complaint from the husband. The officer noted that while they had successfully recovered the woman previously and returned her to her spouse, she left again shortly afterward. Authorities are actively searching for both the woman and Khan and have assured that stringent legal measures will be taken once they are located.
