Uttar Pradesh Govt to Organise Teachers’ Training Programs

The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant effort to enhance the quality of education and integrate innovation into primary education. The government is taking several impactful state-level training programs. These programs were organized throughout April in across Uttar Pradesh.

Training initiatives to equip teachers

The initiative comes under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Furthermore, the state government’s objective through these training initiatives is to equip teachers. The teachers are aimed to equip with technical, academic, and leadership skills. This is in order to elevate the education system to new heights.

Key Institutions

According to reports, key institutions such as the State Institute of Educational Management and Training (SIEMAT), District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs), and the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) played a significant role in conducting these programs.

The training covered crucial areas like Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), Digital Education, School Leadership, and Financial Management for teachers and headmasters.

Training timeline highlights

The Master Trainer program for Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) was conducted in two phases at the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD) from April 7 to 12 and April 21 to 26, focusing on play-based learning, language development, and holistic teaching methods.

Similarly, primary teachers and education assistants received a four-day foundational training focusing on literacy, numeracy, and effective teaching strategies, marking the first state-level cascade training initiative.

Master Trainer program

Additionally, the Master Trainer program for grades 1 to 5 is ongoing at SIEMAT until May 3. From April 10 to 30, special training on school leadership, ICT integration, and financial management is being conducted for headmasters at SIEMAT Prayagraj and Lucknow.

Furthermore, between April 15 and 30, nodal teachers are receiving training at the DIET level on digital tools, smart classroom management, and development of online educational materials. All these efforts have significantly strengthened the state’s education system by seamlessly integrating technology and innovation.

“Trained teachers are the foundation of better education. With this vision, a robust and continuous training series for teachers is being conducted across the state. The impact of these efforts is now visible in classrooms, where teaching is becoming more effective, interactive, and student-centered. This initiative in the field of education further strengthens the Yogi Government’s commitment to ‘Empowered Teachers, Empowered Uttar Pradesh’.” said Sandeep Singh, Basic Education Minister, Uttar Pradesh.
