UP Man Beheads Ice Cream Seller in Shocking Daylight Incident

A 25-year-old ice cream vendor was brutally beheaded in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district by a 50-year-old local man following a verbal confrontation on Saturday. The gruesome act occurred in plain sight, prompting panic among bystanders as the accused also attempted to burn the severed head of the victim.

Details of the Incident

The victim, identified as Bablu, was selling ice cream in the area, a routine he had been following regularly. Tension escalated when Shankar Yadav, the accused, objected to Bablu’s presence and demanded that he leave the vicinity. When Bablu refused to comply, their verbal altercation turned violent. In a sudden escalation, Yadav allegedly attacked Bablu with a sharp object, resulting in the fatal act of beheading him on the spot.

Police Response and Investigations

Authorities were alerted soon after the incident and arrived at the scene to find a chaotic situation as witnesses fled in fear. Shankar Yadav was subsequently apprehended by the police. The body of Bablu has been sent for post-mortem examination, and a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is currently underway.

Superintendent of Police Arpit Vijayvargiya indicated that the accused may have exhibited signs of a disturbed or unstable mindset at the time of the attack. This assessment arose from the trivial nature of the dispute over ice cream sales. In a concerning detail, it was noted that Bablu’s body had been positioned near a fire, resulting in partial burns to the remains.
