UP Govt Gears up for International Branding of State Tourism at PATA 2025 in Bangkok

In a major push to promote Uttar Pradesh’s rich cultural, spiritual, and historical legacy on the global stage. The Yogi Adityanath-led government is set to showcase the state’s tourism potential at an international platform. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department is actively preparing for a grand participation in the upcoming Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) 2025. The event is scheduled to be held in Bangkok from August 26 to 28, 2025.

An Attractive destination

The event will serve as a powerful platform for Uttar Pradesh to project itself as an attractive destination for both international tourists and investors. This will elevate the tourism potential and economy of the state to new heights.

At the upcoming PATA Bangkok 2025, the UP Tourism Department will showcase its cultural, spiritual, and historical richness through a beautifully designed 36-square-meter stall, highlighting major attractions such as Sarnath, Kushinagar, Shravasti under the Buddhist Circuit, as well as Varanasi, Ayodhya, and the Prayagraj Mahakumbh.

Digital touch panel

The stall will be equipped with LED wall screens and auto-navigation displays, offering dynamic visuals of the state’s scenic tourist spots. An Augmented Reality (AR) based digital touch panel will allow visitors to take selfies with the stunning backdrops of six major destinations in Uttar Pradesh.

Guests will also get to explore the rich tradition of local handicrafts and the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative. In addition, the exhibit will feature creative displays of historic temples, their unique architecture, and spiritual significance, offering visitors a deep glimpse into Uttar Pradesh’s rich religious and cultural legacy.

International roadshow in Bangkok

Going beyond exhibition, the Yogi Adityanath government will also organize a one-day international roadshow in Bangkok, either before or after the main event. This roadshow is expected to draw over 100 stakeholders, including travel traders, travel media, and influencers. It will be hosted at one of Bangkok’s top hotels, The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, or Radisson Blu Plaza, featuring high-tea, seminars, and workshops focused on UP’s tourism packages and investment opportunities.

The event will also include a showcase of photos, films, and promotional materials. English-speaking officers and local interpreters will be available to brief visitors, helping to strengthen UP’s global appeal.

Targeted promotional strategy

To amplify its global reach, the UP government has crafted a targeted promotional strategy. Thirty-second tourism ads will be aired during peak hours for three days on three major TV and three radio channels in Thailand. Additionally, 10 key locations in Bangkok, including airports, metro stations, malls, and bus terminals, will display the promos 15 times a day over three days.

Digital screens will also support brand visibility. Two mainstream and two travel-related magazines and newspapers will also be associated with the promotion campaign of UP’s tourism sector.

Visitors to Uttar Pradesh’s pavilion at PATA Bangkok 2025 will be welcomed with exceptional hospitality and engaging experiences. The stall will offer refreshments including drinking water, tea, and coffee. To provide deeper insights into the state’s tourism offerings, brochures, maps, and PR kits will be distributed. These materials will be available in 200 English sets and 100 sets in the local language, along with short videos and promotional films.

Card collection system

A visitor book and card collection system will be set up to record guest feedback and contact details. QR codes and cutting-edge tech will promote the official mobile app and website, making it easier for visitors to access information and make bookings.

The branding will be supported by captivating slogans such as “Uttar Pradesh, The Land Where Lord Buddha Lived and Preached” and “Begin Your Bodhi Journey in Uttar Pradesh”, designed to appeal to both tourists and investors. It is noteworthy that the Yogi government is firmly committed to transforming Uttar Pradesh into a premier global tourism destination.

Participation in PATA Bangkok

The state’s grand participation in PATA Bangkok 2025 will serve as a powerful platform to showcase its Buddhist, spiritual, and cultural legacy to international tourists and investors.

The event is expected not only to boost tourism but also to open new avenues for investment, strengthening the state’s economic growth. This initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of “Uttar Pradesh: The Land of Infinite Possibilities.”
