UK’s Leading Bamboo Sock Brand Bare Kind Launches in India

The CSR Journal Magazine

Bare Kind, a prominent bamboo sock brand from the United Kingdom, has made its debut in India as of September 18. This launch allows the brand to enter one of Asia’s rapidly growing consumer markets through a collaboration with House of Kraft, a multi-brand firm based in Delhi. House of Kraft is responsible for overseeing local operations and marketing efforts for Bare Kind in the Indian subcontinent.

This introduction marks the first time that Bare Kind’s signature range of bamboo socks will be available to Indian consumers. The product lineup caters to men, women, and children, offering a selection that is breathable, moisture-wicking, and designed for comfort in various weather conditions. The socks are grouped into four themed collections: Wild & Safari, Ocean & Arctic, Cute & Quirky, and Pet Lovers.

The brand’s unique selling proposition is its direct-impact model, which donates 10 per cent of profits from each pair sold to a charity associated with the specific animal depicted on the sock. Since its inception in 2018, Bare Kind has collaborated with over 30 wildlife charities across the globe, financing conservation initiatives in tropical rainforests, marine ecosystems, and endangered species recovery programs.

Mission to Promote Animal Conservation

Lucy Jeffrey, the Founder of Bare Kind, expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s launch in India. She noted the significance of native wildlife, mentioning that Bengal Tigers, Rhinos, Lions, and Elephants all inhabit the country. Jeffrey remarked, “We are incredibly proud to be bringing our animal socks here. Helping save the world’s animals is our mission, and coming to India feels like the biggest step we have ever taken toward that goal.”

The brand is also recognised as a certified B Corp, meeting stringent international standards for both social and environmental performance. It maintains a 100 per cent carbon-neutral status throughout its supply chain by utilising Gold Standard carbon offsets. This commitment underlines the brand’s dedication to sustainable practices, reinforcing its focus on responsible consumerism.

As Indian consumers increasingly seek products that provide both quality and purpose, Bare Kind aims to fill this niche. The brand’s storytelling aspect is intended to resonate with shoppers looking for meaningful purchases, blending premium quality and distinctive design with a cause.

Emphasis on Meaningful Consumer Choices

Neha Khanna, Founder of House of Kraft, articulated the cultural connection to animals in India. She stated, “India has always had animals at the heart of its stories, its symbols, its forests and its everyday imagination. Bare Kind brings that love into something as simple and joyful as a pair of socks — playful on the surface, purposeful at its core.”

Khanna further highlighted that the partnership aims to create an engaging consumer experience, offering socks that are not just fun to wear but also serve as thoughtful gifts. The overarching goal is to ensure that the purchase goes beyond the product itself, contributing to a meaningful cause while also delivering unique designs.

With the launch of Bare Kind in India, consumers can look forward to blending style with substance. The brand aims to establish itself as a memorable choice in the market, providing quality products while simultaneously helping support wildlife conservation efforts around the globe.
