The CSR Journal Magazine

In a late-night incident on Wednesday, two assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire at a house located in the Tejab Mill area of Delhi’s Farsh Bazaar. Police officials have identified the residence as belonging to an individual named Babli. Authorities report that the attackers were captured on CCTV footage arriving on a motorcycle and discharging multiple rounds before escaping the scene. Law enforcement has initiated an inquiry to locate the suspects involved in this shooting.

Related Shooting Incident in Kashmiri Gate

On the same night, Delhi police recorded a separate shooting incident based on a complaint filed by Deepak Khatri at the Kashmiri Gate Police Station. According to Khatri, who was inside a vehicle during the altercation, claims were made regarding the incident being particularly suspicious despite the absence of prior threats. He noted that gunfire occurred around 10 PM, stating, “I was sitting in the front… We were told that around two or three people fired at us… One of the people with us, Sandeep, got shot… We had not received any threat, but we know that something is fishy.”

Eyewitness Accounts from the Scene

Another eyewitness elaborated on the Kashmiri Gate incident, contributing additional details about the circumstances surrounding the firing. He described how the gunfire erupted immediately after starting the car, which injured Sandeep, who was seated in the back. “We had just come out of a temple around 10:15 PM. It was my car. I was driving. We had just entered my car and had started it when three shots were fired at us,” he recounted. The sound of the rear windscreen cracking signaled the onset of the attack.

Statements from Victims and Authorities

A participant in the vehicle, identified as Vicky, remarked on the chaos of the moment. “We didn’t see anything because we were fired at from the back. The person sitting in the backseat got shot… This happened right outside the Hanuman Temple… We were inside the temple. We had just come out.” In the wake of the incident, a police control room (PCR) unit arrived promptly to convey the injured Sandeep to a medical facility.

Police Comments on the Incident

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North, Raja Banthia, provided insights into the circumstances. He confirmed that Deepak Khatri is affiliated with the legal team of Lawrence Bishnoi. “The incident happened around 10:10 PM. These individuals were in the Kashmiri Gate area and were preparing to return home when their vehicle was fired upon. Their initial belief is that three individuals targeted them,” said DCP Banthia. He further highlighted that as the shots rang out, the people in the car sought safety at a nearby bus stand. It has been confirmed that Khatri is currently in stable condition. Ongoing investigations are expected to yield more information as authorities continue their work.

Ongoing Investigation

As law enforcement continues to gather information, further details regarding both the shooting incidents in Farsh Bazaar and Kashmiri Gate remain pending. The situation is being closely monitored, with police actions aimed at ensuring public safety in these areas.
