This has opened applications for all corporation and individuals who are ready to invest $1 million (Rs 8.9 crore) or more. Trump has deigned this programme especially to attract the best talent to the US, and this will help the country generate billions of dollars for the US Treasury, this is seen as faster, more lucrative alternative to the EB-5 visa system.


What Is Donald Trump’s Gold Card?
This is a new US visa programme that has been launched by the US President. This programme offers a permanent residency and acts as a pathway for all individuals and corporations who are willing to make significant investment in the United States. This programme is a replacement of the earlier EB-5 visa programme, that has been in existence since 1990. The motive behind the EB-5 visas was to draw foreign investment to the US and also create jobs for workers in America.

What is the process to apply for Trump Gold Card?
The first and foremost criteria is the individual must be lawful permanent residency and admissible to the US. Corporate can sponsor employees who are foreigners, their spouses and their children who are under the age of 21 can, but this will have some additional fees. The cost of the gold card and the processing fee is $15,000, this non-refundable. And if a person wants to make investment, then the cost will be $1 million (Rs 9 crore) and if a corporate wants to sponsor an individual applicant, then it will draw an investment of $2 million (Rs 18 crore).
