A six-year-old girl was reportedly abducted and murdered in Haldoni village, Greater Noida, after she went missing from her home on August 28. The police launched an investigation following a complaint from the girl’s family, who realised she had disappeared without any notice. Subsequent searches led to the recovery of her body, which was found stuffed in a sack.

After the girl’s family filed a First Information Report (FIR) on the same day, law enforcement agencies deployed five teams to locate her. The authorities began examining CCTV footage in the vicinity, which ultimately provided significant insights into the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

The footage showed a male suspect allegedly luring the girl before carrying her away in a sack toward a nearby field. Law enforcement officials have confirmed that this evidence is crucial to their ongoing investigation into the case.

Investigation and Forensic Analysis

As part of the investigation, the police have collected the girl’s body for a post-mortem examination, which is being carried out by a panel of doctors in the presence of video documentation. The results of this examination are anticipated to reveal the cause of death and provide additional details essential for the investigation.

In collaboration with forensic teams, police officials inspected the crime scene, gathering relevant evidence to further understand the events leading to the girl’s death. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Noida) Shailendra Singh stated that all elements of the case are being scrutinised as part of a comprehensive investigation.

Authorities are actively questioning the suspect taken into custody. They aim to follow legal procedures based on the findings from the post-mortem and other evidence that may arise during the ongoing inquiry.

Family Asserts Need for Justice

The girl’s uncle, Mohammad Noshid, indicated that the accused lives nearby and sometimes stayed at their property. He expressed concerns about the security of the neighbourhood and revealed that the suspect had allegedly taken the girl while the family was occupied with work duties.

According to Noshid, they became aware of the traumatic events only after reviewing the captured footage from the CCTV cameras. Following the chilling discovery, the family reportedly handed the suspect over to the police, emphasising their desire for justice for their child.

Another relative claimed that during the abduction, the accused had taken the girl into a nearby house, where she was allegedly murdered before her body was concealed in a sack. The community has been shaken by this incident, prompting heightened concern and fear among residents in the Haldoni area.
