Shreshth Bharat; National Seminar on wp

Indian Social Responsibility Network (ISRN), a forum for Corporate Social Responsibility is organising a national seminar on wp for ‘Shreshth Bharat’ on 8th of October, 2014 at Hotel AshokaNew Delhi to facilitate relationship building between Corporate, NGOs and community towards positive development.

The event will be inaugurated by Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State Commerce and Industry, Corporate Affairs and Finance as the chief guest and Shreepad Yesso Naik, Minister Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Culture and Tourism as the Guest of Honour. Lalitha Kumarmangalam, Chairperson, National Commission for Women will give a special address.

 

Dr. Mallika Nadda, convener of ISRN and Founder President of Himachal based NGO, Chetna, will give the welcome address and  Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State Commerce and Industries, Corporate Affairs will light the lamp to inaugurate the event. Chandrajeet Banerjee, Director General- CII will also address the august gathering. A book titled ‘A Guide to Corporate Social Responsibility (wp) Beyond Funding’ will also be launched in the event.

The event will have four discussion sessions. The first session is titled as ‘Corporate as Vehicle for Societal Development’. Among the topics that will be discussed in this session includes wp Resources, integrating wp in company culture, realizing wp as responsibility than charity and focus on sustainability and long term impact. Rajan Navani, Head, India75- CII and Let. Gn. Rajender Singh, CEO, DLF will be in the panel and Dr. Indumathi Rao, CBR Network, Bangalore will be the Key Speaker.

 

In the next session ‘Together Towards Shreshth Bharat (Relationship building beyond funding)’ among the topics of discussion will be the prospective sectors for wp, presentation of best practices, sustainable networking and stakeholder partnership issues. Joy Bandekar, President, Corporate, Flipkart; Rohit Adya, Director (External Communication), Vodafone India and Rajneesh Goenka, Chairman, Tobu Cycles Group will be in the Panel with Manoj Agarwal, Chairman, Great Value Group as the key Speaker for the session.

In the third session titled ‘Challenges in wp Implementation and Importance of social audit’, Sumit Bashin, Member, ISRN and Director, Public Policy Research Center will be the key speaker with Parul Soni, Executive Director, Ernst & Young; Ravindra Sathe, ED, Rambhau Mhalagi Probodhni; Ashok Pavadia, Joint Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises; and Alok Kumar, THS Law firm, will be participating as the panelist.
