On March 30, in a notable political development in Punjab, nearly thirty leaders from the Indian National Congress, along with members from the Shiromani Akali Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). This transition was facilitated by Rajbir Ghuman, the Officer on Special Duty to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Those who joined include Sahib Singh Chhajjalwaddi, Vice President of the Congress SC Wing, and Sarabjit Kaur, District Women Congress President for Amritsar Rural.
