Preparations for Bihar assembly elections fast, separate strategy will be made for sensitive booths

Government machinery has come into action mode regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. The administration has directed to formulate special strategies for sensitive polling stations, mark criminals and ensure all basic facilities at booths.

In a high-level meeting held under the joint chairmanship of Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena and DGP Vinay Kumar, all aspects related to security, logistics and law and order were done in depth review.

A separate strategy will be made for sensitive booths

Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena directed that special security and management plans should be made for polling stations which have been placed in the category of sensitive or susceptible. Basic facilities like pure drinking water, toilets, electricity, ramps, sheds and signage should be compulsorily completed at the booth.

DGP Vinay Kumar instructed all SPs to identify the criminals who obstruct the previous elections and ensure their monitoring. Non-bailable warrants should be issued against them in time and attendance should be ensured.

The Chief Secretary, especially directed that the arms license running in the name of the deceased people should be examined and the supply of cartridges found on it should be stopped immediately.

In the review meeting, sand mining mafias were also directed to keep a close watch on them and take action in mission mode, considering them a threat to the electoral atmosphere. For this, special meetings of SDPO level were asked to be held.

All check posts should be equipped with technology

To increase the monitoring during the election, all major checkposts were instructed to ensure the arrangement of wireless systems, night vision cameras and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition).

The control room of every district will be ready with the Quick Action Plan to deal with any emergency.

The Chief Secretary also directed to conduct a two -day special campaign in matters related to Scheduled Castes and Tribes. Along with this, the police stations were ordered to regularly check the goon register and non -bailable warrants.
