PM Modi Achieves 30 Million Subscribers on YouTube, Setting Global Record

The CSR Journal Magazine

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached a notable milestone of 30 million subscribers on YouTube, reinforcing his status as the most subscribed world leader on the platform. This achievement places him significantly ahead of other global figures in this category. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro ranks second but has only about 7 million subscribers, which is roughly a quarter of PM Modi’s total. Moreover, PM Modi’s subscriber count surpasses that of former US President Donald Trump by more than seven times, illustrating the vast scale of his global outreach and engagement.

Dominance in Indian Politics

In India, PM Modi’s popularity is further highlighted by the comparative subscriber counts among national political figures. He commands approximately three times more subscribers than Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and more than four times the number of subscribers held by both the Aam Aadmi Party and Indian National Congress separately. With over 30 million subscribers, Modi’s YouTube channel stands as the most followed globally, reiterating his significant digital presence.

Milestones on Other Social Media Platforms

This milestone on YouTube follows PM Modi’s earlier achievement of surpassing 100 million followers on Instagram, making him the first politician and world leader to reach this level on the platform. PM Modi joined Instagram in 2014, and currently holds over 43.2 million followers, eclipsing former US President Donald Trump’s count. Additionally, PM Modi’s follower base is more extensive than the combined total of the next five leading world leaders, showcasing his unparalleled reach in digital engagement.

Comparison with Other Global Leaders

On Instagram, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto follows Modi with around 15 million followers, while Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has 14.4 million. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has 11.6 million followers, and Argentine President Javier Milei rounds out the list with 6.4 million followers. Within India’s political landscape, PM Modi’s lead is substantial, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath trailing in second place at around 16.1 million followers and Rahul Gandhi at approximately 12.6 million.

Significance of Digital Engagement

The growing subscriber count and follower statistics for PM Modi not only reflect his popularity but also underline the increasing importance of digital engagement in modern political strategy. His ability to connect with a global audience highlights the impact of social media on the political landscape, setting a benchmark for digital communication among world leaders. As his numbers continue to rise, PM Modi’s presence in the digital sphere reinforces the potential for online platforms to influence public perception and outreach.
