Hyderabad, India: As part of its environment and wildlife conservation efforts, Hyderabad-based leading injectables manufacturer Gland Pharma extended its support to Nehru Zoological Park (NZP) and the Amrabad Tiger Reserve. Gland Pharma donated INR 25 Lakhs to NZP, for a new Electric Vehicle (EV)-powered road-train that can carry 40 passengers around the Park. Among the highest corporate contributors to NZP, Gland Pharma has been supporting it since 2020, helping in the Park’s conservation and educational efforts, as well as adopting animals for their upkeep.
Gland Pharma has also donated an EV to the Amrabad Tiger Reserve, for use by its officials in patrolling, transporting supplies, responding to emergencies, clearing plastic waste and keeping the Reserve clean. The EV offers multiple benefits over traditional combustion-engine vehicles, including reduced emissions, quieter operation, and lower operating costs. It will help the Reserve’s officials to operate and protect it more efficiently.
“At Gland Pharma, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to protect our planet and its wildlife. We are committed to doing our part, and are proud to support the Nehru Zoological Park and Amrabad Tiger Reserve during the National Wildlife Week,” said the Trustees of Gland Pharma’s CSR Foundation.
Gland Pharma is directly involved in wildlife conservation through multiple CSR initiatives, and will continue to support the state’s efforts in the years to come.
