Nanded Mass Suicide: 2 Brothers Jump Before Train, Parents Found Hanging at Home

The CSR Journal Magazine

A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Maharashtra’s Nanded district, where four members of a single family were found dead under tragic circumstances. The incident occurred in Jawla Murar village of Mudkhed tehsil, sending shockwaves across the region. The victims include two young brothers and their parents, wiping out the entire Lakhe family.

Brothers Allegedly Die by Suicide

According to police officials, brothers Bajrang Ramesh Lakhe (22) and Umesh Ramesh Lakhe (25) allegedly died by suicide after jumping in front of a moving train near Mugat railway station. Umesh Lakhe was a former tehsil vice-president of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) in Mudkhed and was known locally for his involvement in social work, making the incident particularly disturbing for residents.

Parents Found Hanging Inside Their Home

While the brothers’ bodies were found near the railway tracks, a more disturbing discovery awaited authorities in the village. The bodies of their parents, Ramesh Honaji Lakhe (51) and his wife Radhabai Ramesh Lakhe (44), were found hanging inside their house. Police said both appeared to have died by suicide, but the exact circumstances are still being examined.

Financial Stress Suspected

Initial investigations suggest that financial distress could be a possible reason behind the deaths. However, police officials have clarified that no definitive conclusion has been reached so far. Investigators are trying to establish whether the parents took their own lives independently or if there is any other angle to the case.

Forensic Team Deployed, Post-Mortem Ordered

After receiving information about the incident, senior police officials rushed to the spot. A forensic team was also deployed to carefully examine the scene and collect evidence. All four bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause and sequence of deaths.

Village in Mourning as Investigation Continues

The Lakhe family comprised only four members, and their deaths have left the entire village in deep shock and mourning. Locals described the family as quiet and respected. Police have assured that a detailed investigation is underway, and all possible angles, including personal, financial and psychological factors, are being thoroughly probed.
