A thirteen-year-old girl was gang-raped in Lucknow when she sought refuge from heavy rain at a construction site. According to accounts, a labourer forcefully dragged the girl into the unfinished building, where several others were reportedly waiting. They allegedly stood guard to prevent her from fleeing. The situation escalated when the girl resisted; the attackers are said to have tied her hands and feet, assaulted her, and silenced her with a cloth.

The girl’s absence from her job raised concerns for her employer, who initiated a search after she did not arrive on time. Meanwhile, locals became suspicious of her disappearance and began looking around the construction site. They located the girl on the third floor of the building, prompting immediate action.

After discovering the girl, local residents confronted the alleged attackers, who were reportedly attempting to hide near a rooftop water tank.
