A disturbing case from Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district has shocked residents after a domestic worker was arrested for allegedly urinating on utensils during her daily cleaning routine. The accused, identified as Samantra, had been employed at a house in the Nagina area for several years before the alarming incident came to light.

The case surfaced after a secretly recorded video began circulating widely on social media. In the footage, the woman appears to be urinating on kitchen utensils while pretending to wash them. According to the homeowner, the maid had been part of their household for nearly a decade and was considered completely trustworthy until one family member grew suspicious and decided to monitor her behaviour.

The video, which quickly went viral, sparked public outrage and drew strong reactions from the local community. Residents expressed disbelief that someone employed for so long could commit such an act. Some speculated whether the woman might be suffering from a mental health condition, while others called her actions deliberate and malicious. “Such behavior from someone trusted for years is not only disturbing, it’s deeply shameful,” said one resident.

The situation escalated when the video reached local authorities. Sanjay Kumar, the Station House Officer (SHO) at Nagina Police Station, confirmed the arrest. “Police have registered a case against her and further investigations are underway,” he stated, adding that the arrest was made on Thursday.

There were also reports that, in another incident caught on video, the woman allegedly urinated into a glass and sprinkled it over utensils used by the family. These details have only intensified the disgust expressed by the public and amplified calls for a thorough investigation.

Following the arrest, Samantra was taken into custody and presented before a magistrate. Police booked her under legal sections related to public mischief and breach of hygiene. Judicial proceedings have now begun.

The incident has triggered heated discussions about the risks of unchecked access within homes, even from long-term employees, and has raised important questions about trust, mental health, and safety in domestic work environments.
