A part of the investigation report on Jeffrey Epstein, late American financier and convicted child sex offender, was released by the Department of Justice on Friday. The report talks about the demands of Epstein for procuring specific girls to fulfil his demands of underage girls.
The much-awaited report gives a picture of how Epstein and others who helped him get young girls. This report has been in a lot of discussion because of the partial release.
What does the report on Epstein have?
The document, named EFTA00004179, has evidence and a cover sheet and 13 handwritten notes of investigation from an interview that was done on May 2, 2019. This interview is redacted from the bigger report. In the report different topics have come to limelight such as recruitment of girls, sexual encounters under the guise of “massages” and the age and race preference by Epstein. In the report Epstein is referred to as ‘JE’, “Friends of [redacted] friends. Big Brazilian group. Desperate time, running out of girls.”
Talking about Epstein’s sexual and race preferences in girls, the note disclosed that in desperate times when dark-skinned Dominican was brought, JE denied and demanded only said he didn’t want Spanish or dark girl.
There are some shocking revelations, where the person tells Epstein that he has been bringing young girls to him, but Epstein says “yea but not dark”. The report did not clearly state whether Epstein had paid for the services, but he had for the procurement of girls.
Other shocking details talked of bathroom and ‘boobs and vaginas near bathtub … he got in the shower and told her can’t just bring girls he doesn’t like. … told her to keep looking for girls”.
In the report, the witness has disclosed that at a point, Epstein asked for ID of girls, “he wanted to make sure under 18 b/c he wasn’t believing them b/c [redacted] messed up by bringing more older girls.” Further details have been shared about Epstein’s sexual encounter, making ‘crazy noises’ and touching victims ‘roughly’.
In the report, there are pictures of girls who have been described as 14-17 years old moving around in bikinis on the beach. There is a reference of ‘41st St Apartment’ in Manhattan, locations in Rochester and Brighton Beach, New York, and also about high school prom. However, in the report, the name and details of the witness have not been revealed.
Testimony by a witness in Epstein case
A Brazilian immigrant named ‘Minor-Victim 1’, a witness who came out in public in September, shared details of the systematic abuse she faced by Epstein since she was 14. The witness shared that she had seen Donald Trump with Epstein many times, however Trump denied knowing Epstein’s criminal actions. It was after her testimony that Epstein was indicted. Epstein killed himself in 2019 in New York jail. In 2022, Jean-Luc Brunel, a co-founder of a modeling agency along with Epstein was arrested. Brunel is accused of supplying over 1,000 girls to Epstein for sex.
