The iPhone 18 Pro will officially launch in India on September 18, with sales commencing at 8 am IST. This highly anticipated model will be available through the Apple India Store, marking the beginning of its retail presence in the country. Pre-orders, which began a week prior, are expected to culminate in timely deliveries for those who secured their devices early.

Apple introduced the iPhone 18 Pro alongside the iPhone 18 Pro Max, the Apple Watch Series 12, and the AirPods 5 during its Surprise and Shine event on September 9. These new additions aim to enhance the user experience with a range of innovative features and technologies.

Reports indicate that the Apple Store in Noida has confirmed limited availability of the iPhone 18 Pro during the launch. Priority will be given to those who pre-ordered, while walk-in customers may face uncertainty regarding stock levels.

Pricing and Offers for the New Models

The iPhone 18 Pro will retail in India starting at Rs 1,64,900 for the 256GB model. Pricing escalates for larger storage options, with the 512GB variant at Rs 1,89,900, the 1TB model costing Rs 2,39,900, and the 2TB version priced at Rs 3,14,900. The iPhone 18 Pro Max begins at Rs 1,79,900 for the 256GB configuration, with the 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB versions priced at Rs 2,04,900, Rs 2,54,900, and Rs 3,29,900, respectively.

Available colour options for both models include Black, Silver, Glacier, and Burgundy. Apple is also providing various purchasing incentives, such as cashback, easy monthly instalment (EMI) options, and trade-in values for device upgrades. Specific cards from institutions like American Express, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank may qualify for cashbacks of up to Rs 7,000, dependent on terms and eligibility.

The effective price after applying maximum cashback brings the iPhone 18 Pro down to Rs 1,57,900, while the Pro Max starts at approximately Rs 1,72,900. Customers may also take advantage of EMI payment options, allowing flexibility with different credit and debit card methods, as well as UPI and Payment on Delivery choices.

Technical Specifications and Enhancements

The iPhone 18 Pro series introduces multiple enhancements, particularly in display and performance. The iPhone 18 Pro features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, whilst the Pro Max is equipped with a larger 6.9-inch version. Both models support ProMotion technology, enabling refresh rates of up to 120Hz, and can achieve peak outdoor brightness levels of up to 3,000 nits.

Each device is powered by Apple’s latest A20 Pro chip, which is constructed using a 2nm process. It includes a six-core CPU, a seven-core GPU, and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine, with performance metrics indicating that the GPU is up to 40 per cent faster than the previous A19 Pro. With 12GB of RAM and storage options reaching 2TB, both models are designed to run on iOS 27.

The camera configuration is a major highlight, featuring a triple 48-megapixel rear camera system. The primary Fusion camera incorporates a variable aperture ranging from f1.48 to f4.0, complemented by a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide and a 48-megapixel Fusion Telephoto camera, providing diverse capabilities for photography and videography. Battery longevity is reportedly enhanced, with the iPhone 18 Pro offering up to 36 hours of video playback and the Pro Max achieving up to 45 hours.
