Apple is set to release the iPhone 18 Pro series, including the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, for sale starting on September 18. These new models, announced during the Surprise and Shine event on September 9, will provide users with advanced features and functionalities. The iPhone 18 Pro has a starting price of Rs 1,64,900 for the 256GB variant, whereas the highest-end option with 2TB of storage is priced at Rs 3,14,900. In comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro Max begins at Rs 1,79,900 for the same storage capacity, climbing to Rs 3,29,900 for the 2TB model.

Consumers purchasing either model through Apple’s official website can avail themselves of an instant cashback of Rs 7,000 when using eligible bank cards. This brings the effective price of the iPhone 18 Pro down to Rs 1,57,900, while buyers of the iPhone 18 Pro Max can expect to pay Rs 1,72,900 after considering the cashback offer. There is also an exchange programme that allows users to trade in their old devices, with Apple offering discounts ranging from Rs 45,000 to Rs 81,500, subject to the condition of the traded-in device.

This approach provides consumers an opportunity to acquire the latest devices while benefiting from potential discounts through both cashback and trade-in offers. The various pricing tiers and offers demonstrate Apple’s strategy to attract a diverse customer base.

Features of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max

The iPhone 18 Pro series boasts a number of advanced features that distinguish it from its predecessors. Both models display a 120Hz LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED screen, supporting HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Display sizes vary slightly, with the iPhone 18 Pro featuring a 6.3-inch screen and the Pro Max a more expansive 6.9-inch display. Both devices can reach peak brightness levels of up to 3,000 nits and incorporate Ceramic Shield 2 protection as well as an anti-reflective coating.

Under the hood, the iPhone 18 Pro series is powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chipset, crafted using a 2nm fabrication process. These devices come equipped with 12GB of RAM alongside storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB, ensuring ample space for users. They will also operate on the latest iOS 27, providing an updated software experience.

Photographic capabilities are highlighted by a sophisticated rear camera arrangement featuring three 48-megapixel sensors—one standard, one periscope telephoto with 4x optical zoom, and one ultrawide camera. An 18-megapixel front-facing camera is also included. Battery performance is noteworthy, with the iPhone 18 Pro offering up to 36 hours of video playback on eSIM models and around 24 hours of mixed usage. The iPhone 18 Pro Max reportedly extends this capability further, providing up to 45 hours of video playback and about 30 hours of real-world use.
