The launch of the Kashi-Delhi Vande Bharat sleeper train marks a significant milestone for Indian Railways, connecting Varanasi (Kashi) with New Delhi via Prayagraj and Kanpur Central. He referred to the day as historic for those travelling between the two cities.

In a post on X, Modi highlighted the benefits of the service, noting that it would not only save time but also provide a more comfortable journey. He remarked, “Today is a historic day for those traveling by rail between Delhi and Kashi. Equipped with modern amenities and a state-of-the-art safety system, this is the country’s second Vande Bharat Sleeper Train.”
