Saudi Arabia to Attend Upcoming Summit

India has invited 10 BRICS partner countries to the upcoming summit, with positive responses received from the invited nations.

Saudi Arabia, which has been invited to join BRICS, is also expected to attend the summit, according to officials.

BRICS Expansion to Follow Consensus

The bloc has expanded from its original five members to 11 countries, while also engaging 10 partner nations.

India has stressed that future expansion will follow established procedures and consensus-based mechanisms, with consolidation remaining an important priority during its chairmanship.

India is also evaluating the potential impact of US sanctions and tariffs on its interests. Officials noted that BRICS has already outlined its position on such issues in previous declarations, while India continues to assess their implications.
