Forecasts indicate heavy rainfall in numerous districts, including Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Raebareli, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkarnagar, Etah, Kasganj, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, and Badaun.

The Relief Commissioner’s office has instructed district administrations to closely monitor the weather conditions and implement necessary precautions at the local level. Special attention is being drawn to areas most susceptible to flooding.

Measures for Thunderstorm and Lightning Warnings

The focus of the Yogi government is not just on relief after floods occur but also on proactive measures to prepare for potential disasters. Alerts have been issued to districts based on the IMD’s forecasts, ensuring that timely assistance can be provided in case of rainfall or sudden flooding.

The Relief Commissioner’s office has advised residents in potentially affected areas to take weather warnings seriously and to consider relocating to safe locations when necessary. In related news, Minister Nand Gopal Nandi has commenced the distribution of relief kits for families affected by floods in Chitrakoot. While overseeing the distribution in the Karvi tehsil, he reported on the condition of other impacted areas and urged officials to ensure assistance reaches all individuals in need.
