Following the distressing revelations made by actor Rajpal Yadav about his lack of support within the film industry, popular television actor Gurmeet Choudhary has stepped in to provide financial assistance. Yadav, a notable Bollywood actor, has recently been embroiled in a cheque-bounce case that has resulted in his incarceration.
Choudhary expressed his sorrow over Yadav’s situation, emphasizing the irony of witnessing an actor of such standing in distress while others guilty of far more serious crimes evade consequences.
Choudhary’s Appeal to the Film Community
In his statement, Choudhary remarked on the unfairness of Yadav’s predicament, stating, “It is heart-breaking to see an actor of Rajpal ji’s seniority behind bars for such an offence when white-collar criminals get away with siphoning millions. I am going to do all I can to help Rajpal ji financially.” He also called upon other members of the film industry to provide aid to Yadav, acknowledging his significant contributions to Indian cinema.
Yadav’s Emotional Statement Before Surrendering
Prior to his submission to Tihar Jail, Yadav conveyed his despair about his financial situation, saying, “Sir, kya karoon? Mere paas paise nahin hain (Sir, what to do? I don’t have the money to pay back). Aur koi upaay nahin dikhta (Can’t see another way out).” He expressed disappointment regarding the perceived absence of support from his colleagues, stating, “Sir, hum sab akele hain (Sir, we are all on our own). There are no friends. I have to deal with this crisis on my own.”
Industry Response to Yadav’s Dilemma
Yadav’s statement resonated widely and prompted a wave of support from various personalities in the film industry. Notable figures such as Sonu Sood, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, and David Dhawan have come forward to assist Yadav financially.
