Flash Mob for Road Safety Awareness
Supporting the Road Safety Month initiative, Growel’s 101 Mall in Kandivali organised a Flash Mob performance by NGO We Can We Will Foundation to create awareness about avoiding road mishaps.
Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest of the evening was Senior Police Inspector Mahadev Jadhav. The event was also attended by authorities from the traffic department of the Mumbai Police. Shoppers at the mall were entertained and educated at the same time about the initiative as kids from the We Can We Will Foundation put up an electrifying performance on peppy tunes of songs like Samjo Ishaare dil yeh pukaare, Galti se Mistake, and Ae bhai zara dekh ke chalo.
According to the latest Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) report on Road Crashes in 2019, on an average around 1,230 road crashes and 414 deaths took place daily on Indian roads in 2019, which translates into 51 crashes and loss of 17 lives every hour.
