The CSR Journal Magazine
The Jammu and Kashmir court has sentenced a ‘faith healer’ to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of rupees one lakh and convicted him for an offence of child abuse. The accused was booked for the first time nine years ago when a minor broke his silence and narrated details of sexual abuse he endeared. Gradually, several more cases against the accused started coming to light.

Judgement with a Poem

The 123-page judgement penned down by chief judicial magistrate Mir Wajahat ended with the poem ‘Whispers of Faith, Echoes of Fear’.
The CJM himself wrote a few more verses titled ‘Delay in FIR, Delay in Justice’
A voice once lost, now breaks the chain
No more silence, no more pain
Justice waits, though time may sever
Yet truth prevails – better late than never
The accused was sentenced to 7 years of jail under section 377 of RPC (Ranbir Penal Court). However, since he has been accused in such cases, he will serve a total of 14 years of rigorous imprisonment.
Now 54 years old, the accused would reportedly promise his disciples good fortune, relief for financial problems or a cure for a medical ailment. He would then ask his devotees to bring their children so that they could talk to the djins.
