The CSR Journal Magazine

A shocking incident has come to light from Fasanganj Kachnaw village in the Jagdishpur area of Uttar Pradesh. A woman allegedly chopped off her husband’s genitals following a heated domestic argument on Saturday night.

The victim, Ansar Ahmad, aged 38, was attacked by his second wife, Nazneen Bano, during a violent quarrel. According to the police, Nazneen used a kitchen knife to carry out the assault during the altercation. The couple had reportedly been having frequent disputes, primarily due to Ahmad’s two marriages.

Accused wife under custody

According to report, Ahmad has no children from either of his wives, Nazneen Bano and Sabejool. The tension in the household had been escalating for some time over this issue. Following the attack, Ahmad was initially rushed to the Jagdishpur Community Health Centre, However, he was later referred to AIIMS Raebareli due to the severity of his injuries.

Police confirmed that Nazneen Bano has been taken into custody and is currently under interrogation. Station House Officer (SHO) Raghvendra stated that an investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events.

Similar Incident Reported in Muzaffarnagar

In a similar case, another man was hospitalized in critical condition after his wife allegedly chopped off his genitals, accusing him of neglecting her and spending more time with his second wife. This incident took place on Wednesday in Mimlana, Muzaffarnagar.

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, had married a second time with the consent of his first wife due to their inability to have children. The second wife had recently given birth, which reportedly triggered the violent act.

According to SHO Anil Kaperwan from Kotwali police station, the man had been staying at his second wife’s home after the childbirth. His absence from the first home had caused resentment and ultimately led to the assault.

The man was immediately rushed to the hospital for emergency medical care. His family has filed a police complaint against the first wife, and authorities are now investigating the incident.

Increasing Marital Violence Raises Concern

Both incidents highlight a troubling rise in extreme domestic violence in the region, particularly involving polygamous households where emotional, psychological, and legal tensions often run high. Police officials in both cases have assured that strict action will be taken following investigations.
