A woman’s dismembered body was discovered packed in sacks within rooftop water tanks located in Tamil Nadu. The unsettling finding emerged in Salem after Ramesh, a local temple priest, stumbled upon the chilling evidence at his residence in Arisipalayam. The discovery was made after Ramesh and his family returned from a function in Thanjavur.

It was during their return that Ramesh’s wife, Jamuna, observed that the water coming from the tap was unusually discoloured. Concerned by the appearance of the water, Ramesh, along with his son, proceeded to investigate the tanks located on the terrace. A foul odour prompted them to inspect further, leading to the horrifying discovery.

“We returned around 6.30 am and noticed that the tap water was not clean. When we opened the tank, there was a foul smell. My son and I went upstairs and found sacks inside. We removed one and opened it. There were hands and legs inside. We immediately informed the police,” Ramesh recounted.

Upon receiving the alarming report, law enforcement officials promptly arrived at the scene and retrieved three sacks from the two tanks. The contents of the bags revealed the woman’s dismembered remains, which included hands, legs, a torso, and a hip.
