The CSR Journal Magazine

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, one of Bollywood’s most adored power couples, never shy away from celebrating each other, whether it’s cheering on professional achievements or expressing affection publicly. Their latest viral moment on Instagram proved this once again, turning a simple date-night post into a trending conversation across social media. Deepika shared her chic outfit for their movie outing, but it was Ranveer’s cheeky one-liner that ended up stealing the show.

Deepika’s Chic Date-Night Look Impresses Fans

The Chennai Express actress posted a series of stylish photos before heading out to watch Ranveer Singh’s latest film, Dhurandhar. Captioned, “Date Night at the Movies! #Dhurandhar @ranveersingh,” the post showcased her impeccably curated look.

Deepika wore a structured black jacket with gold buttons layered over a sleek black top. She paired it with high-waisted, wide-leg dark denim jeans and pointed black heels that added both elegance and height. Her hair, styled in soft waves, framed her face beautifully, giving her an effortlessly polished appearance. Fans quickly filled the comments with compliments—until Ranveer’s reaction became the highlight.

Ranveer’s Flirty Comment Steals the Spotlight

Moments after Deepika posted the pictures, Ranveer Singh jumped into the comments with a dramatic, flirtatious line: “JAAN HI LELE (knife emoji)”, loosely translating to “Just take my life.” His humorous exaggeration delighted fans, who instantly turned the comment section into a lively space full of laughing emojis, teasing replies, and admiration for the couple’s adorable bond. Within minutes, his comment had sparked dozens of reactions.

This moment added to a long list of Ranveer’s playful comments on Deepika’s posts. Whether it was calling her “haye my jaan” on an ethnic look, describing her haircut as “cute,” expressing nostalgia on her vacation picture saying “take me back,” complimenting her red outfit, or dropping a bold “Oh hi hottie” on her white ensemble, Ranveer’s endearing remarks have always made headlines, showcasing their warm and affectionate relationship.

Deepika Calls Dhurandhar, Worth Every Minute

After watching Dhurandhar, Deepika returned to Instagram Stories with a glowing review. She praised the film’s gripping pace and lengthy runtime, saying the 3 hour 36 minute duration felt entirely justified.

“Dhurandhar has been watched and is worth every minute of those 3.36 hours. So do yourself a favour and get to the cinema hall NOW! So incredibly proud of you, Ranveer Singh!” she wrote, also congratulating the cast and crew on delivering a powerful film.

Fans Love It, Despite Critic Divides

Released on December 5, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar arrived amid intense anticipation, and its fair share of controversy. While critics offered mixed responses, audiences on X (formerly Twitter) have passionately praised Ranveer’s comeback performance, calling it “phenomenal,” “explosive,” and a total “paisa vasool.”

Yami Gautam, wife of director Aditya Dhar, also urged viewers to avoid blindly following negativity and judge the film for themselves. Many users echoed this sentiment, encouraging others to watch the film before forming opinions.

Viewers are also celebrating Akshaye Khanna’s commanding presence, the film’s thunderous background score, and Aditya Dhar’s well-executed action choreography.

Dhurandhar: Plot, Cast & Certification

Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, with Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and jointly produced by Dhar, Jyoti Deshpande, and Lokesh Dhar, the film follows R. Madhavan as IB Chief Ajay Sanyal, who leads a covert operation to dismantle a terror network in Pakistan. Ranveer plays a 20-year-old Punjabi prisoner recruited for an undercover mission deep within Karachi’s criminal underworld.

Filmed across Thailand, Mumbai, Punjab, and Ladakh between July 2024 and October 2025, the movie has drawn attention for its scale and intensity. The CBFC cleared it with an ‘A’ certificate due to its themes, including references to the IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Parliament attack and Operation Lyari.
