‘Dhurandhar’ Actor Held After Domestic Worker Files Rape Complaint

The CSR Journal Magazine

Mumbai Police on Monday confirmed the arrest of actor Nadeem Khan after a domestic worker accused him of sexually exploiting her for nearly a decade under the pretext of marriage. The 41-year-old complainant alleged that the abuse continued over several years at different locations in the city.

Marriage Promise Used to Exploit Domestic Worker: Police

According to investigators, the woman had earlier worked at the homes of multiple film personalities before coming into contact with Khan. Over time, the two reportedly developed a close relationship. She later told police that Khan assured her of marriage and used that promise to repeatedly assault her at her Malvani residence as well as at his Versova home.

When Khan allegedly backed out of the marriage, the woman approached the Versova police station and filed a complaint. Since the first reported incident occurred within Malvani police limits and the survivor resides in the same area, the case was transferred under the zero FIR provision.

Khan Taken Into Custody

Khan was taken into custody on January 22 and remains under police interrogation. The actor was recently seen in the Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar, where he played the role of Akhlak.

Police officials said further investigation is underway and additional legal action will follow based on evidence collected.
