The CSR Journal Magazine

The recent Ravi Kishan-themed event in Delhi showcased the actor’s popularity among Gen Z. Held at the Civil Lines branch of Social, the gathering attracted fans who came dressed in various iconic looks inspired by Kishan’s memorable moments. Many participants emulated his signature expressions, dance moves, and catchphrases, reflecting the actor’s influence on social media.

Guests at the event not only dressed as Kishan but also engaged in activities that highlighted his internet fame, including mimicking his famous dialogues. Some attendees adopted Kishan’s fashionable Gucci attire, while others chose to recreate his viral moments from clips like ‘Dola Ni Aaya Dola’.

The event was organised by Cinergy, a platform established by Samarth, a 27-year-old filmmaker based in Delhi. He noted that the overwhelming response included nearly 80 registrations, although some people were unable to attend due to heightened security measures linked to a separate Prime Ministerial event nearby.

Organisational Insights and Event Concept

Samarth elaborated on the motivation behind the event, stating that it stemmed from observing the lively discussions and memes surrounding Ravi Kishan online. Describing himself as a filmmaker, he viewed the gathering as a means to celebrate an artist while also fostering community interaction. The intention was to create a fun atmosphere where attendees could connect, interact, and enjoy activities together.

In preparation for the event, Samarth devised a fashion moodboard shared via Instagram, encouraging guests to draw inspiration for their outfits. The anticipation led to significant enthusiasm, with several participants expressing excitement to showcase their Ravi Kishan-inspired transformations.

On the day of the event, Kishan-themed activities included a dance battle where guests displayed their best moves, dressed in character, and a dialogue competition to find the best impersonation of the actor. Moreover, the décor incorporated numerous references to Kishan’s iconic status, transforming the venue into a vibrant celebration of his contributions to pop culture.

Engaging Activities and Community Response

A standout feature of the event was the playful use of ‘Ravi Kishan currency’. Organisers created faux banknotes featuring the actor’s image, which were hidden around the venue for guests to find. Participants engaged in a treasure hunt, with a reward for the individual who collected the most notes, further enhancing the playful spirit of the occasion.

The event also featured a dedicated photo wall for guests to take pictures in their costumes, capturing memories to be shared later. This interactive element allowed attendees to leave their mark and contributed to the overall feel of a fan gathering infused with creativity and amusement.

The enthusiasm for the Ravi Kishan-themed party extended beyond the event itself, with social media posts attracting interest from individuals in cities such as Chandigarh and Lucknow. Many expressed a desire for similar events in their own locations, indicating the widespread appeal of Kishan’s unique charisma and the role of fandom in contemporary social experiences.
