Technology has improved the ease of working. It has also started to play an important role in improving the fundraising and volunteer recruiting activities for the non-profits.
Nonprofit GiveIndia has recently attracted corporates such as Ola, McKinsey, ITC Infotech, PropTiger, KiwiTech, Omidyar Network and HDFC Bank to sign up on their new Workplace Giving Platform to encourage their employees to make regular contributions to causes they want to support.
This brand-new tech platform is a Grey labelled SAAS product. This essentially means that it can be customized to showcase NGOs/causes that the company wants to support. It also comes with the possibility of Single Sign-On (SSO) integration – so once employees are logged in to their corporate portal, they don’t have to use fresh login creds to access the GiveIndia platform.
GiveIndia has been enabling payroll giving for nearly two decades, with ₹20 crores of donations coming in for trusted nonprofits from over 75,000 corporate employees annually. The new tech platform will further enhance employee engagement and help corporates build an empathetic and charitable workplace culture.
Atul Satija, GiveIndia CEO and Founder 2.0 said, “Our Workplace Giving platform is a perfect balance of technology and social intent and helps corporates to add to their employee engagement initiatives. Plus, it provides employees with a chance to give back to society from the comfort of their workstations. With years of experience in workplace giving, now with our new platform, we are equipped to craft giving programs tailored to the corporate’s social mission.
It also takes us closer to our vision of building a flourishing every day giving community.”
Companies like Ola and Omidyar have gone live on the GiveIndia Workplace Giving platform through SSO integration. While PropTiger and Kiwitech have gone live with Credit/Debit cards as payment choices and not through the conventional payroll options.
“At Elara Group (Housing-PropTiger-Makaan), we hold ourselves morally responsible to contribute towards a good life for those beyond our circle of family, friends and colleagues. GiveIndia provides a great online donation platform which channels resources to credible non-government institutions across India working on health, education, cancer care, differently-abled, children and women. We have integrated a link to GiveIndia’s website with our HRIS portal to allow seamless access to our people so that they can navigate through the wide range of causes and associate with those dear to them by contributing through their debit/credit cards,” said Rohit Hasteer, Group CHRO.
Saurabh Nigam, Vice President – Human Capital, Omidyar Network India, said, “We have partnered with GiveIndia to provide a giving platform to our team, which they can use to make donations towards the causes of their choice. The platform has a large number of causes neatly listed under various categories, which makes it extremely easy for users to navigate and select a cause close to their heart. The entire process of signing up for the cause and enabling payroll giving is extremely smooth.”
