PNB Housing’s CSR arm – Pehel Foundation – in collaboration with Muskaan Dreams, has launched the Digital Shaala Project, a transformative initiative aimed at advancing STEM education and bringing tech based innovations to classrooms. Aligned with the New Education Policy (NEP 2020) which outlines Access, Equity, Quality, Affordability and Accountability, the project is designed to enhance learning experiences for students in grades 5-8 while equipping teachers with essential digital skills to create future-ready classrooms.
Impacting over 6500+ students and 200+ teachers across 20 government schools in Bhopal and Indore, Digital Shaala is set to redefine education by integrating advanced digital tools and technology in schools. The classrooms have been equipped with modern tools such as e-learning platforms, high-speed internet, and preloaded offline academic content tailored to subject and grade levels. Designed to promote blended learning, this initiative will ensure that students gain stronger conceptual understanding, while teachers are empowered to embrace digital pedagogies that make learning engaging and impactful.
Mr. Girish Kousgi, MD & CEO, PNB Housing Finance, commented on the initiative, “Education is the cornerstone of progress, and technology is the bridge to a brighter future. Through the Digital Shaala Project, we are not just transforming classrooms but also shaping the future of thousands of students by empowering them with digital learning opportunities. This initiative reflects our commitment to fostering innovation and inclusivity in education, accelerated by the developments in a digital era.”
Mr. Abhishek Dubey, Founder & CEO, Muskaan Dreams commented on the initiative, “Digital Shaala is aimed at empowering teachers with the technology & tools they need to seamlessly integrate digital solutions into their teaching practices. In partnership with PNB Housing, this program equips educators with innovative methodologies to enhance tech adoption, improving both learning outcomes and the overall learning experience for students. By bridging the gap between traditional and modern education, Digital Shaala fosters an environment where teachers embrace technology to inspire and prepare students for a rapidly evolving tech-driven world, paving the way for a future-ready generation.
Mrs. Sushma Vaishya, District Education Officer (DEO), emphasized on the importance of digital education in schools and how it will create a positive impact on teaching learning.
Digital Shaala operates as a comprehensive model to ensure sustainable change, focusing on four key aspects: providing access to digital classrooms, training teachers to adopt digital pedagogies, offering continuous support for implementation, and advocating for digital inclusion at the district and state levels. The initiative was inaugurated in the presence of senior officials from the local government bodies and PNB Housing Finance.
