Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited (formerly known as Max Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited) (“Niva Bupa”) and Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) have come together to participate in a CSR initiative called Pratishtha to help the underprivileged elderly population of the country. As part of this initiative over 48,600 meals will be provided to senior citizens residing in old-age shelter homes being run by Sunanda Foundation which is an award-winning charitable trust that was recognised by the Government of Maharashtra in 2023 for the work towards the cause of elderly.
Last week in an event organised in Chennai, Ajay Kumar Srivastava, MD & CEO of IOB, and Aseem Gupta, Director & Head of Bancassurance at Niva Bupa, handed over a token cheque to Sunanda Foundation. [Basis the latest contribution, over 48,600 meals will be sponsored for over 125 elderly residents of Radhika Old-Age Home in Mumbai’s Thane district. In the month of March, both Niva Bupa and IOB had come together to sponsor over 33,000 meals to the same group. The continued support will ensure that the elderly residents of Radhika Old-Age being run by Sunanda Foundation will be taken well care of.
The Pratishtha campaign reinforces the joint commitment of Niva Bupa and IOB towards community service. It echoes the shared commitment of both the partners towards social responsibility, aiming to inspire others to contribute to building a more inclusive and compassionate society. Through this partnership, Niva Bupa & Indian Overseas Bank aim to create a tangible, positive impact on the lives of vulnerable populations.
