The camp witnessed a turnout of 344 individuals, with 80 cataract surgeries conducted at Sudarshan Netralaya, Amreli. This initiative is part of the bi-monthly eye check-up camps launched in 2017, benefiting 350 to 450 villagers per camp from over 70 villages across Amreli, Jafrabad, and surrounding talukas.
Since 2017, APM Terminals organizes bimonthly eye checkup camps as part of its continuous health care efforts. These camps offer on-site OPD treatment and identify patients requiring advanced care. Those diagnosed with conditions such as cataracts and other eye diseases are referred to Sudarshan Netralaya for free surgery, ensuring critical eye health needs are addressed without financial burden.
