The CSR Journal Magazine

Authorities in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, have recovered the body of a 24-year-old woman who had been reported missing earlier this month. The remains of Khushboo Rathore were found on Friday, February 13 in an apartment located within the jurisdiction of the Dwarkapuri Police Station. Rathore’s disappearance was reported by her family on February 11, following a period of concern after she failed to return home.

The police were alerted by neighborhood residents who noticed a strong smell emanating from the flat, prompting them to contact local authorities. Upon receiving the complaint, a police team promptly arrived at the scene and discovered Rathore’s body inside the apartment. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Krishna Lalchandani provided details regarding the case, confirming the identification of the victim as Khushboo Rathore and highlighting her missing person status, which began on February 10.

Initial findings suggest the cause of death may be strangulation, and law enforcement officials are focusing their investigation on Piyush Dhamanodia, a colleague and alleged partner of the victim. DCP Lalchandani stated that the relationship between Rathore and Dhamanodia was known to the victim’s family, who have expressed their own concerns regarding his involvement in her death.

The family’s awareness of the young couple’s relationship included the frequent visits Dhamanodia made to their home. As the investigation progresses, authorities are conducting a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and are actively pursuing leads to locate Dhamanodia. The police have assured that they will thoroughly investigate all aspects of the case to arrive at a conclusive resolution.

Further inquiries are ongoing, with investigators seeking to ascertain the timeline of events leading up to Rathore’s tragic death. As the community grapples with this unsettling incident, local authorities are committed to bringing clarity and justice to the situation.
