Arishfa Khan Joins Bigg Boss 20 as a Popular Influencer and Actor

The CSR Journal Magazine

Arishfa Khan’s entry into the entertainment industry has been marked by her long history in front of the camera. Born on April 3, 2003, in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, she began her journey as a child actor, making her television debut in 2012 with the show Chhal – Sheh Aur Maat. Khan soon garnered widespread recognition for her role as the younger version of Gunjan in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas… Veera, which established her as a household name in Indian television.

Throughout her career, she has participated in various television shows, including Jeannie Aur Juju, Uttaran, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Gangaa, and Meri Durga. Her versatility has also led her to appear in episodes of Crime Patrol and various commercials, reflecting her extensive experience in the entertainment field.

Arishfa’s passion for acting stems from her upbringing; her mother was a stuntwoman in the film industry, exposing her to the world of entertainment from a young age. This early exposure ignited her interest in pursuing a career in acting, leading her to work in diverse roles over the years.

Transition to Social Media Stardom

While television was the foundation of Arishfa’s career, her popularity surged during the rise of social media platforms like TikTok. Her engaging short videos resonated with a vast audience, quickly turning her into a prominent figure. After TikTok was banned in India, she transitioned seamlessly to create content on Instagram and YouTube, showcasing a variety of topics, including fashion, beauty, travel, and entertainment.

By September 2026, Arishfa had amassed more than 29 million followers on Instagram, firmly placing her among the leading influencers vying for attention in the digital age. Her understanding of audience engagement makes her well-suited for the Bigg Boss environment, where viewers closely follow contestants’ actions.

In addition to her acting and social media endeavours, Arishfa has explored the music-video realm, featuring in popular songs such as Yaara 2 and Teri Baatein Mulaqatein. Her career trajectory mirrors the evolution of entertainment, moving from television to music videos and onto social media.

Personal Challenges and Recent Developments

Despite her successful career, Arishfa has faced challenges behind the glamour. In 2018, she emotionally remembered social media personality Danish Zehen following his death, leading to unwarranted speculation about their relationship. Although many claimed the two were romantically involved, Arishfa clarified that Danish was like a brother to her, and their bond was strictly platonic.

The aftermath of Zehen’s death involved public disputes, including accusations of harassment against Danish’s brother, Gufran. Arishfa voiced her distress over the baseless allegations suggesting her involvement in the tragic event. She emphasised that this controversy deeply affected her and her family’s wellbeing.

Interestingly, Arishfa’s journey to Bigg Boss was preceded by previous speculation; reports suggested she was considered for Bigg Boss 19 in 2025, although she did not participate. This time around, in Bigg Boss 20, she has officially entered the house, joining other notable contestants such as Kanika Mann, Aasif Khan, and MC Mary Kom, further solidifying her presence in the entertainment industry.
