Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, indicated that President Donald Trump is willing to meet “anybody” if such discussions may yield constructive results. In an interview with NBC, Rubio expressed, “We’re open to that. He asserted, “And that is the fact that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. They just simply can’t.” This statement underscores the urgency perceived by the US regarding Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Trump’s commentary on the situation suggested a range of options for Iran, including severe consequences if it continues its present course. He stated that Iran had choices to make: either face economic decline, possibly suffer military action, or engage in negotiations. Hossein Mohebbi, spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that any renewed aggression would compel Iran to modify both its armament and the geographical scope of the conflict.

“If a new aggression takes place, we will definitely change the weapons and geography of the war,” Mohebbi reportedly stated to the semi-official Fars news agency. His remarks reflect Iran’s stance that it will not back down in the face of perceived threats, leading to a potential escalation in hostilities.
